MIA Community Leadership Award

 

This inaugural award recognises a member who demonstrates outstanding leadership in the MIA Community through active participation, knowledge sharing and fostering a professional and collegial environment.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this award, nominated individuals must meet the following criteria:

  • Be an MIA voting member (e.g. Commercial RMA, Legal Practitioner, Non Commercial RMA, or Non Commercial Legal Practitioner)
  • Be an active participant in the MIA Community, with demonstrated engagement in The Hub

Selection Criteria

Nominees will be assessed based on the extent to which they:

  • Demonstrate leadership within the MIA Community
    Actively guide conversations, set a professional tone and model respectful and constructive engagement.

  • Contribute valuable knowledge and insights
    Regularly share expertise, answer questions and support other members’ professional development.

  • Foster a supportive and collegial environment
    Encourage participation, welcome diverse perspectives, and contribute to a positive member experience.

  • Show consistent and meaningful participation
    Maintain an active presence in the community over time through posts, comments, and engagement.

  • Enhance the quality and integrity of the MIA Community
    Help ensure discussions remain accurate, relevant, and aligned with community standards.

Nomination Process

To apply for the MIA Community Leadership Award, follow these steps:

  1. Download: Download the nomination form here.
  2. Nominate: Complete the form as a self-nomination or third-party nomination.
  3. Submit: Email your application to [email protected] by the closing deadline of Sunday, 19 July 2025.
  4. Late submissions will not be considered.

Selection Process

  1. Nominations will be reviewed and assessed by an expert panel based on the eligibility and selection criteria.
  2. Successful nominations are then submitted to the MIA Board for consideration and resolution.
  3. Nominees will be notified of the results.
